Obsidian has Dungeon Monitors. These are knowledgeable participants who elect to stay alert and make themselves available should any issues arise. They help maintain the flow of the dungeon and will generally not interrupt a scene unless they hear a safe word being ignored or need to request something from you to maintain that flow.

If/when conflict occurs at Obsidian, there will be an effort at conflict resolution with the Obsidian leadership team and affected parties. In-person resolution is favored above all else. Resolutions will center around education, trust, and self-empowerment. All complaints will be listened to and taken seriously.

Obsidian’s dungeon rules are as follows:

  • Consent is of the utmost importance

    • Be sure to negotiate before engaging in any sort of play

    • Tops: make several in-scene check-ins

    • Bottoms: advocate for yourself and your needs always

    • Establish and use your safewords

  • Inebriation during play will not be tolerated for safety reasons

    • Our space with Threshold is a sober one, we require that all attendees respect this fact.

    • You will not be allowed in if you are visibly drunk/high

  • Don’t forget the aftercare

    • Take care of each other, be kind

    • This must include tops

    • Clean any and all equipment used in a scene with the supplies provided

  • Respect each other’s privacy

    • No phones allowed inside the dungeon

      • If you must use your phone, you are required to step out into the patio

    • Do not “out” people if you meet in public

    • Do not speak in details about the event outside of the event

  • Respect each other’s space

    • While we encourage voyeurism, do not get too close to or in any way interfere with a scene in progress

  • Do not assume pronouns

    • Ask, don’t guess

Threshold’s dungeon rules are as follows:

  • Nudity is not allowed in the patio

  • No smoking/vaping allowed on the premises

  • No cellphone usage inside

  • No genital to genital, or oral to genital contact

  • Voyeurism is encouraged, but please do not enter a room unless invited

    • You can enjoy the scene from the door

  • No shoes on any furniture or mats

  • No breathplay

    • Manual asphyxiation or strangling scenes (where the bottom’s neck is pressed, crushed, or otherwise compressed) are prohibited due to potentially dangerous complications. Even restricted breathing scenes (such as a hand over a mouth and/or nose) are not allowed. This includes restricting blood flow and applying pressure to the diaphragm to restrict breathing.

  • No Scat play or Enema play
